Nigel's proposals were ignored and the primary evidence which totally vindicated our collective's decisions and exposed the lies of people we expelled were likewise ignored - "fiona's handwritten minutes Stacy Scheff and Andrew Lowenthal - had our domain (which perth-imc had returned) seized again - no process - just the whim of some biased autocrats The indymedia 'network' refuses to explain their actions new-imc state - the darwin collective did nothing wrong - perth had no right to act as they did in seizing our site and domain - other Oz indymedias are guilty of hosting race/hate campaigns against the darwin collective - and have hosted a "conscious and malicious project" - a long-term hate campaign on Oz indymedias against Mick Lambe UN UDHR article 12. No one shall be subjected to arbitrary interference with his privacy, family, home or correspondence, nor to attacks upon his honour and reputation. Everyone has the right to the protection of the law against such interference or attacks. |
"It is a conscious and malicious project. It's not possible anymore to sort out the issue by looking at the "tit for tat" publications of nastiness, or by trying to assign equal blame as some might try to do. I have seen that there are some constant parts of this conflict, which I take to be a more basic ground of its reality.

should be clear to all involved with the DIM issue that the current PerthIMC installed
DIM collective were successful in manipulating PerthIMC and those within the MIM
and SIM collectives who supported their decision to effectively sack the
I also have to say that I was more than a little concerned at the fact that someone
from the MIM collective chose to hide the legitimate and non-EdPol breaching post

Indymedia should now be handed back to it's legitimate collective ASAP or a VERY
good reason why this shouldn't happen should be immediately If
darwin Indymedia is not handed back to it's legitimate collective and no proper
reason for such inaction forthcoming, it will be taken that something I look forward to a speedy resolution to what has been a distracting, confusing, frustrating but nonetheless educational situation.

All, I am making this proposal to resolve the DIM debacle pursuant to the following facts: 1)
The legitimate DIM collective have been completely vindicated. All "charges"
made against them - and Mick Most
were never grounded with any evidence, and can be dismissed as malicious gossip
and rumour. 2)
The illegitimate PerthIMC installed collective clearly lied to all of us. 3)
No-one had a problem with the quality of work on DIM and the only criticisms have
come from people who have no credibility in relation to DIM. 4) The legitimate DIM collective have a host and site prepared and just need the DIM URL pointed at it.

The darwin.indymedia.org URL to be pointed at the host of the legitimate DIM collective's
choice. 2)
An analysis of how this debacle occurred, and how to prevent events like this
occurring again be undertaken. Pursuant to this goal, I have begun preparing a
report and welcome any input from interested parties. This welcome is also extended
to Gary, Robert, Fiona and Viki. Further pursuant to this goal, unless I specifically
request and give reasons otherwise, I give my permission for my emails on this
topic to be made public. 3) That these proposals or at least the URL redirection occur ASAP.

I propose that immediate steps be taken to have the <http://darwin.indymedia.org/>
URL pointed to the legitimate - and in fact, *only* - dar in Indymedia There
is no real reason why this can't or shouldn't occur and every reason why it should.
I request anyone who thinks I'm in error on this to I
will close with a simple reality check: If the Howard government or the FBI/ASIO/Interpol
etc. had treated an autonomous Indigeanous majority Indymedia However,
the responsibility for this embarrassing mess doesn't lie with the Howard government.

After Oz indymedia's two years of unsuccessful trying to destroy our collective's solidarity - (wherein we learned of the "indymedia powers-thats-be" and other autocratic anomalies in a purportedly oppositional entity -'indymedia') -- we were presented with this ultimatum "Any collective wishing to call itself Darwin Indymedia would therefore require, as part of it's constitution, to exclude this individual (mick lambe) and would automatically forfeit it's place as an IMC if he were ever to become a member." [1] proposal by Andrew Lowenthal (MiM)
It failed - paris, cyprus and amsterdam were not impressed - but it may as well have been enacted Our affiliated collective still have no domain - no explanations
I am not going to post work up - either to see it copied and hosted on the Oz indymedia network with my name and links to our sites removed - or copied and hosted on same with hate comments and ugly accusations appended - it is counter-productive - such hate comments and ugly false allegations have been on this 'progressive network' 24/7 since 2001 Any articles - based on fact - (not hearsay and ugly gossip) - that critiques these people's unethical behaviour is deleted Is that the Oz indymedia intent? To be the only network in Oz hosting ugly lies and accusations about Oz activists? I was tolerant due to the given drawbacks with Open Publishing - but have not see the privilege of Open Publishing extended to myself In fact all of the Oz sites are using word filters and IP blockers to prevent my even viewing their sites |

unethical people have too much control over what and how Oz articles are presented
to the wider global community - and have
clearly acted in an autocratic
and unethical manner - then applied a
